Dr. Arensman

F. W. Arensman, M.D., was born in Louisville. He grew up in Indiana; earned his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from the University of Evansville and his M.D. from Indiana University; and did both his Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiology Training at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. Selected as a British-American Research Fellow, he studied in London before becoming an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and the Director of Echocardiography at the Medical College of Georgia. He is now a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Kosair Children’s Hospital. He is a past president of the Louisville American Heart Association and has been active with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. He is Board certified both in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. He and his wife, Barbara, have two daughters: Allison and Emily.

Dr. Boone

James W. Boone, M.D., is a native Kentuckian, having grown up in Somerset. He graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina in 1979. Following graduation from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1984, he did a Pediatric Residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and completed his Pediatric Cardiology training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In July of 1990, he returned to Louisville, where he is currently active on the medical staffs of all area hospitals and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology, he is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association. He and his wife, Lesa, have a son, Seth, and a daughter, Abby.

Dr. McOmber

Delwyn E. McOmber, M.D.,was born and grew up in Fresno, California. He received both his undegraduate and graduate degrees from Brigham Young University. In 1997, he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and went on to complete his Pediatric Residency there in 2000. Following his Pediatric Cardiology training at Washington University in St. Louis in 2003, he returned to Louisville to join the practice of Drs. Arensman and Boone. He is currently active on the medical staffs of all area hospitals and is Board certified in both Pediatrics and in Pediatric Cardiology. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association. He and his wife, Kari, have five children: Emily, Sara, Joshua, Jessica and Matthew.

Dr. McDowell

Roddy McDowell, Jr., M.D., was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and grew up in Louisville. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville and graduated from the UofL School of Medicine in 2002. Following a Pediatric Residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. McDowell completed his Pediatric Cardiology training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina in 2008. He is currently active on the medical staffs of all area hospitals and is Board certified in Pediatrics and Board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. Dr. McDowell and his wife, Carolyn, have two daughters, Sarah and Anna.
